There is an ancient, well-established and powerful philosophical saying, "Straight trees are cut first", which could be interpreted as honest people being the first one to get booted out of an organization..
There are also true stories of honest people (as considered by a larger section of global population) coming out with flying colors well after the supposed timeline of this saying.
In this changing world, where yesteryear role models could be considered naive and unsophisticated, and where lies and rumors could spread at speeds unlike in the past, should people need to be honest in this century, and the future centuries? Let us discuss and debate.

ReplyDeleteHonesty is when you speak the truth and act truthfully. ... Many people think honesty means you "don't tell a lie"-- and that is definitely part of being honest. But honesty means more than not lying. A more complete definition of honesty shows that an honest person doesn't do things that are morally wrong.
