This argument appears to be not a logical one. First of, NRA is an association, like any other association and/or organization. Not all, organizations/associations get airline discounts.
Secondly, guns, as NRA could confirm, was developed for protection, and utilizing it in airports by approved security personnel for societal benefits is something NRA should support, and also benefits in the process.
Thirdly, having been part of other associations out there that provides similar discounts, we have had options; Even the airlines themselves provide options for getting better discounted fares through various programs. Lately, with the advent of online ticket purchasing, we rarely had to avail such airline discounts as well.
This news appears to be more of a marketing tool for various organizations.
